On day 2 we
were scheduled to do 2 parks in the Black forest region. This was changed
due to an unfortunate incident at the beginning of the day where the coach
ran over a cyclist, and we had to wait for 4 hours at Stuttgart police
station for a new driver.
I'd like to take this chance to wish the victim of the accident a speedy
recovery, and to extend our thanks to the Stuttgart police for their
handling of the situation, and the hospitality they extended to us, and my
thanks to Justin and to the Coaster Club trips team for there handling
of these difficult circumstances.
The report now continues from
a short distance from Europa Park. |
|

I think we can just about see
Silver Star in the distance. |
|

There it is, along with the
observation tower, and Euro Sat,
or as it's coming to Halloween, Euro Pumpkin. |
|

Here's the coach arriving at
the amazing Hotel Colosseo. |
|

Swish! |
|

All the hotel, even the rooms
are themed. We couldn't resist the bunk beds. |
|

They put up the Halloween
decorations early. |
|

The first ride we tried was
the Feria Swing. It wasn't long ago I was saying how you never saw
Matterhorn rides at parks. Here I finally find one, all be it one almost
themed beyond recognition. |
|

Not even Disney theme their
toilets this extravagantly. |
|

The Halloween fountain on the
first day at Europa. On the second day a load of pumpkins had magically
appeared to decorate this fountain further. |
|

More Pumpkin decorations, I'm
not quite sure why they've got Ostriches there. |
