Numbers 151 to 200

This is an ongoing record of the roller coasters I have ridden. I've numbered every roller coaster to show the order which I rode them in. I've also put an extra number in brackets. This number is the coaster count of English roller coasters I've ridden, as I thought it would be interesting to keep track of that in this log as well.

Megaphobia
Oakwood

2006 didn't see me taking any long holidays, but I did do a lot of short trips, France, as well as Germany later on, and of course my first chance to get to Oakwood. In time for Megaphobia's 10th anniversary, and to do the newly opened Speed.

The Bobsleigh
Oakwood

This one is a controversial count, I count it as it's a full circuit, without having to take the cars off the track at any point.

Doing the Bobsleigh at Oakwood jogged a memory of another coaster I'd done in the past, it goes in at 156, although it was done before that.

Apple Coaster
Flamingo Park, Hastings

This is one I had missed a couple of times on a couple of previous visits to Hastings, so when I went there for a Joe Pasquali show I was determined to do this one quickly before the show.

Crazy Mouse

How many spinning mice have I done now, I make this 8.

I'm also ranking up the Caterpillar Coasters / Big Apple Coasters as well. This is my 5th this year.

I noticed on weird coincidence here, 50 counts ago exactly I did G-Force at Drayton Manor, now I'm doing one with almost the same name, with the word Expedition in front of it.

This is my 50th coaster of 2006, and there's still a few more to go. It could have been more if I hadn't missed around 10 due to rides not operating, and other circumstances beyond my control.

181
(-)

Karavan
Tivoli Gardens (Denmark)

A really cheap deal with Easy Jet meant I could do this visit to Tivoli during it's special Christmas event. This meant I could do this coaster I'd missed on previous visits.

182
(96)

Rage
Adventure Island

My first coaster for 2007 was perhaps the most significant ride to open in the UK in 2007, the fantastic Rage at Adventure Island. It was also a milestone for me, because if you add the 4 Oakwood coasters I've done this was my 100th British roller coaster.

183
(97)

Skyway
Clarence Pier

I had a weekend free before my trip to Cleethorpes and Flamingo Land, so I decided to do a couple of local parks I'd never got round to trying before, and discovered two nice small parks, and added 2 good coasters to my count.

Woody's Coaster
Funland, Hayling Island

Velocity
Flamingo Land

We did this trip as we got a cheap caravan for a week from a deal in one of the papers. My girlfriend wanted to do Skegness, but we ended up with one of our secondary choices of Cleethorpes. I thought it would be easy to get a bus or train to Skegness from their, turns out I was wrong and their where no direct transport links. I did discover though we could do Flamingo Land, if we got a train from Cleethorpes at 6AM, which as you can see is exactly what we did.
We got there as the park opened, when it was really quiet, first thing there where only about 10 people in the park, all waiting for Velocity to open up for it's first run.

186
(100)

Kumali
Flamingo Land

Not a bad choice for the 100th coaster I've ever ridden in England I feel.

187
(101)

Dragon Coaster
Flamingo Land

This is my 10th coaster with the world Dragon in the name. Whoever makes these rides obviously likes that name.

188
(102)

Runaway Train
Flamingo Land

189
(103)

Mini Mine Train
Pleasure Island, Cleethorpes

One good thing about the Thorpe Park (the one in Cleethorpes, not Surrey) caravan park is it had Pleasure Island right next door to it, we could even see some of the rides from our caravan.

190
(104)

Boomerang
Pleasure Island, Cleethorpes

I've done 10 coasters with the world Dragon in the name, I make it 16 mice, 8 of them spinning, but this is only my second boomerang coaster. Can't say I'm too disappointed by that.

?(105)?

The New Beast
Alton Towers

This is the 3rd coaster I've discovered I've ridden at a much later date, this time while looking through the roller coaster database. How was I supposed to realize they took away one coaster, and replaced it with almost an exact copy of the same ride?

Crush's Coaster
Disneyland Paris

The end of October 2007 saw us take a trip to Disneyland Paris for the Halloween festivities. These are well worth doing, especially the big celebration on Halloween night itself. It also gave us a chance to try this coaster which was new for 2007.

Indiana Jones and The Temple of Peril
Disneyland Paris

This one was my girlfriends 101st coaster, with Space Mountain being her 100th. Only 94 to go in order to catch up with me.

Bobova Draka Prosek Bobsleigh (Click Here For Website)
Prague

After doing Disney Land we headed over to Prague for 5 days. There isn't that much in the way of rides in Prague, although given it's current success as a tourist destination it strikes me as a good place to start off a new amusement park.
This was my third visit to Prague, but I've never ridden anything at the Cities only small amusement park due to the fact I've always visited to late in the year. This time this Bobsleigh coaster was open in Prague.
If your interested you can get to it by getting the Metro to the Palmovka station, and then using one of the buses to get to a bus stop called Kelerka, which is only two stops away on the right route.
It's a very good bobsleigh run, it was a lot  bigger than I thought it would be and you can get up a very good turn of speed. Well worth seeking out if your in Prague.

Megablitz
Weiner Prater
My first trip of 2008 was to Weiner Prater in Vienna. A great cross between an amusement park and a European funfair. Although it lacked a major signature coaster it more than made up for it with such a large number of great rides in a very small place including a large number of different roller coasters.
