Aren't
budget airlines a wonderful thing. Thanks to them it was possible for me
to get a flight, a low budget hotel and insurance for under £100, to visit
The Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, one of the worlds most beautiful
amusement parks, on my weekend off over the Christmas period.
Incidentally, I can't be the only one who thinks it's wrong that it costs
twice as much to get a train to the airport, than it does to fly from the
airport to somewhere in Europe, no wonder everyone owns a car.
My visit was in the evening, so I got to see the park beautifully lit up,
unfortunately it means some of the photos haven't come out that well, but
they should give you a good idea of what's at the park. It is well worth
visiting over the Christmas Period if you have a chance, especially if you
can get a cheap deal like I did. (I used the Easyjet website to find
mine).
After the Tivoli photos are some photos I took at Copenhagen Zoo which I
also managed to visit during my trip. |

That's the big stage, located
by the parks main entrance. Located in front of it is a frog hopper like
tower ride, which features a spinning pod. I think it's the Chinese
Lantern ride, which is brought in especially at Christmas. |

This shows the Christmas
Markets that are held in the gardens during the Christmas events. |

It's got to be the first time
I've been to a park where I could do some of my Christmas shopping. |

This is another of the
shopping areas, especially lit up for Christmas. |

This is the shopping area
behind the Rutschebanen scenic railway wooden coaster. Spot the European
female nudity. |

This is one of the food shops,
and the entrance to the fun house, located inside the Rutschebanen. |

This is the inside of the fun
house, it's like a big 3 floor playground. |

This is the big palace located
in the Tivoli gardens. |

This is the big Ice Sculpture
they've located outside the palace for the Christmas event. |

This is a view of the Pagoda,
and another ride they bring in for the Christmas period, the Music
Carrousel. |
