Waltzers From Vienna

As well as the Giant Panda the Zoo also has the smaller Red Panda. I find it almost impossible to look at this photo and not laugh.

I think Vienna zoo had some of the best food facilities I've ever encountered at a zoo. As you can see I tried one of the local favourites.

.Also at the zoo is a group of Elephants

One big feature of the Zoo is a giant building called the Rainforest House. It lets you walk among a number of animals and plants in a very large building, including these fruit bats.

The Rainforest house also has another group of bats in this dark cave area. It's very disconcerting when some of them fly past, even though you know they have echo location and won't hit you.

This is an area of the zoo called Rhino park. I think you can work out why.

That's a water Buffalo living up to it's name.

Another zoo favourite the Giraffe.

It seems like every zoo in the world has Ring Tailed Lemurs. Here they had a couple of baby Ring Tail Lemurs. Quite possibly the worlds cutest animal.

This is Palm House. Located in the Schonbrunn gardens a short distance from the zoo.

Inside is a collection of tropical plants.
