Waltzers From Vienna

This is yet another thrill ride found at Prater
called Extasy.
|
|
This a ride called the Blue Planet, which I'm
told is a very good dark ride. Unfortunately it was
closed for maintenance when I visited.
|
|
Just as I thought I'd explored everywhere, I came
across an area of the park I hadn't gone down yet. It
included what was my favourite fun house at the park
called Fun Ball. It starts with a standard walk through
area, but then goes on to a big playground style area
that has a couple of routes you can follow to get to a
set of two slides.
|
|
Almost opposite the fun house was this kiddie
powered coaster. As you can see it's been set in a
building with a cowboy theme making it a very fun
experience.
|
|
Not far from the mine train is the Calypso fun
house and mirror maze.

This ride is back on the Rondeau Plaza opposite
the Boomerang. It's a great walk through horror
attraction. It starts with you walking down a load of
dark corridors with various models and effects along it.
You then get to a well themed area with scenes from
Victorian London. You then have the last two parts of
the ride, the first is a lift with various special
effects as you descend. When you exit that there's a
haunted swing finale to the ride.

This is the Boomerang lit up at
night.

|
r This shows a pod going up Volares hill
lift. |
|
This is the Tornado. It consists of a pod on
several wires which swings back and forth almost
to a 90 degree angle below the big lightning bolt.
At the top of the swing the pods to a big flip which
pulls of a deceptively large amount of intensity from
the g-force this creates.

|
Time for one last look at Megablitz before
heading back to the hotel.
