When I first visited Adventure Island it has 3 walk through scenic attractions, 2 of which are now gone. One was the Fantasy Dome, that was replaced by the Mighty Mini Mega. Another was the Blackbeards ride through the ship and dungeons, which has now been replaced by the special FX cinema, and some shops. This leaves just this ride, which also happens to be the oldest ride at the park.

It sees you walking around the house, on floors that are built at an odd angle, and as you go round you see models of the inhabitants of the house.

The corridors for this ride are a little disappointing. They're painted a dull flat blue, in stark contrast to the brightly painted exterior of the house. There's also not much to do in the corridor sections. The fact the floors are built at odd angles adds some novelty but after that there's just a few crazy mirrors, but they're so old and shabby that they may as well not be there.

This problem though is more than made up for by the model sections. Although they feel a little shabby in places, this is more than made up for by the fun nostalgic charm and humour they provide. The third model is probably the most memorable, as it does have a bit of a resemblance to a monster from a low budget horror film, click here to see what I mean.

Overall a good fun ride. One that could be improved with a makeover, (as long as it's not one sponsored by a shower gel) but it functions as a novel and fun walkthrough attraction in it's current state.
