No prizes for
guessing which animal this ride is themed around; that's right a Mongoose.
Strip away the fibreglass and what's left is what feels like a good
fairground style family thrill ride. It's a ride that feels familiar, I'm
sure I've ridden one somewhere else, although I can't remember where, I
believe the term usually used to describe like this is the Trokia. You
ride in a gondola in one of 3 circles of gondolas that rotate round, while
simultaneously spinning round a central turntable. The circles of gondolas
are then tilted up, so they spin at an angle as they go round.
Riding feels like a cross between an Enterprise wheel and a ride I've seen
in quite a few travelling fun fairs, I checked for the recognised term and I
think it's called a Matterhorn,

here if you're wondering what one of those is.
It doesn't create as much g-force as an Enterprise, but creates a similar
feeling as you go round, then at the highest point of the gondolas path it
does a rocking motion, swinging a bit like as if you were riding a
Matterhorn. It's pretty thrilling for a family thrill ride, and is a lot of
fun. Definitely one worth trying on a trip to this park. |
