With so many other parks, especially seaside amusement parks having their own tower ride I guess it was only a matter of time before Adventure Island got one. They've gone with this family friendly version of a drop n bounce tower.

It follows quite a simple pattern where the large gondola is winched to the top of the tower and then descends it at speed, before being winched up again. It could do with a bit more variety, maybe a few bounces in the ride cycle so it doesn't feel quite as repetitive. The only variety is at the end where the gondola is held at the top of the tower creating a bit of tension before the final descent.

It's not as intense as other tower rides, but as a ride for pre teens to be daring, it does a good job. White knuckle thrill seekers will want to try some of the more intense and scarier rides instead, but this does a good job of catering for it's intended market.
