Once you go through the initial exhibition area you're split into a large
group which you go round various parts of the dungeon including an excellent
mirror maze, and a boat ride.
You also stop at various points of the tour as the actors put on different
shows and demonstrations.
There are a few tense scary moments as well as a few shock, make you
jump scares. A lot of it though is based on a dark camp humour. I think this
works pretty well. An attraction like this can end up funny for the wrong
reasons if it takes itself to seriously. Instead it opts for adding black
humour to the proceedings, creating a good blend of terror and humour
creating a fun and entertaining experience.
It's not somewhere for everyone. Families with young or sensitive children
should best avoid this, and there will be people who won't be interested in
the horror aspect of this attraction.
However if this doesn't put you off it's an attraction I would pay a visit
to. At £15.00 entry it's not that bad value compared to some of London's
other attractions. It's a fun way to spend some time when in London. |
