This is a ride known as the Jump N Smile, which is just below the Waltzer and Twister in terms of popularity on the fairground circuit. I think the best way to describe this ride is as a cross between a frog hopper and a carrousel. You sit in a pod that spins around in a big circle, on the end of an arm that bounces you up and down as you go round.

It creates a similar sensation to that of a pirate ship, with the same funny feeling in your stomach at the top of each bounce. It's quite a good ride that's an ideal thrill ride to take the whole family on.
