There's been quite a few booster rides opening in recent years. They've been very popular on the fairground circuit, with them often being one of the main attractions at a travelling fair. They've also been popular at amusement parks, especially ones looking for a big thrill ride in a limited space.

It would be easy to criticise Pleasure Island for getting one of these rides, given that there are already numerous versions of them out there. I think that would be a little unfair though, as it makes a good addition, and fits in very nicely with the parks line up. It's a shame they couldn't get a new version of the booster called a Mondial Capriolo I've ridden at a few fairs, which I think is more exciting than a regular booster. It would have helped contribute to giving this park some much needed stand out rides.

That's not to say this isn't a good ride. It's a very simple idea, it's a very tall single vertical arm that swings round. On the end of the arms is a smaller seating area that's free to rock and even flip over as the arm spins round at quite a speed. One thing that occurred to me that if it was turned 90 degrees it would be positioned so it swings out over the lake, which would help make it more exciting. It would help if this could be done, without the ride clashing with a ride opposite. It's a very good thrill ride, one of the highlights of the parks extensive thrill ride line up.
