The afterburner thrill ride, A.K.A. Vortex at Thorpe Park has been a pretty successful thrill ride since it first came on the market, with quite a lot of travelling versions and park versions of it in this country and around the world.

If you compare this one to the one at Thorpe Park you'll probably notice this is a different version, with a different seating version, and a different structure for the pendulum.

Geeky observations aside this ride is still basically the same. A big pendulum with a circle of seats under it that spin around as the pendulum swings. It has a good ride program with it spinning fast at the beginning to make that part more thrilling, and it still provides great lifting you out of your seat moments when it reaches the apex of the big swings. A ride that achieves a good level of thrills and is well worth doing on a visit to the park.
