Thinking about it there's quite a lot of times I've been to Thorpe Park and given this ride a miss. I guess it's because the queue is pretty slow moving, and it's a very short ride. This does represent the big change in the parks dynamics, and of the country as a whole. Back in 1991 when this ride first opened we visited Thorpe Park and queued up for over half an hour to try this.

It may not match up to new standards, with multilane dingy slides now being the norm, but it's still not to bad a ride. It may not look much, but it's a lot of fun to go down the slope at speed with water spraying in your face. It's a fun ride worth trying on a quieter day, but it isn't worth joining a long queue for.
