Thinking about it my most recent visit to
Thorpe Park was my 4th visit since this ride was first set up at
Thorpe Park, and this was the first time it was running. I think
it's fair to say it's had it's fair share of problems getting up and
running.
The ride is
an enterprise wheel. It spins around at a high speed, starting
horizontally until it reaches a high enough speed so the pods are
forced out by the centrifugal force, and the wheel can rise to a
vertical position without the people inside the pods falling onto the roof of the pod.
You really
can feel the changing G force exerted on you as you go around the
wheel. It's a good thrill ride, nothing that memorable or
spectacular, but if it's up and running when you visit it's
worth having a go on. |
