I'm trying to think back to
when I've ridden bumper boats before. I think I've ridden them once or twice
before, but not as much as I'd imagine I would of. I think last time I rode
a set it was a quiet day, so the lake was pretty empty, making it a pretty
boring ride. Luckily, thanks to a
number of visiting coach parties we didn't have that problem at Wicksteed.
In essence these are dodgems on water, with the added bonus that you can
attempt too splash people with the impact of the bump. The more limited
number of boats means there isn't quite the same chaos you get on a busy set
of dodgems, but this is made up for
by the fact the boats are more fun to
drive. You can do tight turns with these, allowing you to try spinning on
the spot, plus you can build up a fun amount of speed going across the
water. There a different experience to the dodgems, but every bit as fun to
do. |
