Wicksteed Railway

I remember reading somewhere that this was the first Rockin Tug (or Rocking Tug, if you ignore this rides funky spelling) in the country. This would make Wicksteed a trendsetter, as lots of parks now have a ride like this. It's a short curve of track, with a boat shaped pod that rocks back and forth, while spinning slowly. If you look around the manufacturers websites you'll realise this is a default manufacturers version, as opposed to one with custom decorations. The ironic thing about this is that the bright, colourful, cartoony design is more attractive than a lot of the custom designs.

Having done quite a few rides like this I've learned what to expect, and this one doesn't disappoint. It's been very popular as a family ride, providing a low level of thrills which all the family can enjoy. It's a nice little ride to do if there's no queue, but it's unlikely anyone other than a young kid would want to queue for it.
