I've gone years doing hardly any miniature railways, now this is the fifth I've encountered this year, and there's a good chance I'll do another. This is only the second one I actually rode, having missed out the ones at Hayling Island, Flamingo Land and at Pleasure Island. I did ride the one in Cleethorpes that's down the road from Pleasure Island.

A lot has been done here to recreate the nostalgic experience of riding a steam train. Obviously you've got the miniature railway train and carriages, plus the train station and the way the ride is operated all go to creating the experience.

This one also benefits from a pretty nice location. It takes you round a large area, including the lakeside rides, and round the lake itself. It takes some nice beauty spots you'd normally have to walk a long way around the lake to enjoy. It's slightly out of the way from the other rides at the park, but it offers a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. It's worth going out of your way to try this on a visit to the park.
